February Reflections
It feels like the year is just getting started here in Singapore. January was a funny month of starting then stopping for Lunar New Year.
We are now out of the Lunar New Year 15 days of celebrations, kind of like the 12 days of Christmas and feels like momentum is building again this week.
I have lots of face to face events in the diary this month and in early March which I’m really looking forward to. It’s still a joy and a novelty to be back face to face with people!
In this months blog posts I’m talking about Leadership Loneliness and How asking for feedback builds psychological safety with your team.
Please do let me know what you think and if the post resonates and you want a virtual coffee please do reach out and let’s chat.
Also I’ve pulled together a special February offer for The Leadership Circle 360 Profile and a 90 minute Coaching debrief to get feedback on your leadership and how you want to lead with more purpose and creative, strategic energy in 2023, more details below
Last year I started working with The Leadership Circle, which is now my favourite leadership 360 and developmental coaching tool. I’m offering a special February ‘23 offer to run and debrief your Leadership Circle profile - spoiler alert, it’s both leadership and life changing 90 minutes if you want it to be!
Read below for more information on the profile and the offer (and I absolutely love this feedback above from one of my clients on his experience!)
The more senior you become, often the more isolated you can feel. There is also a weight of responsibility that is often felt beyond the function of the role. It can be lonely maintaining your own sense of personal success alongside helping all you lead be successful and delivering the results required of you.
Sometimes it just all feels too much.
According to one finding in the Harvard Business Review, for example, half of CEOs experience loneliness on the job, and most of them feel loneliness hinders their work performance. Studies have also shown that loneliness is linked to burnout among leaders and affects overall wellbeing.
Do we feel more or less alone at the moment having had some much time disconnected from each other during COVID and what is contributing to our loneliness epidemic?
Starting 25th Feb - It’s not too late to join The Purpose Circle.
This is a 3 month virtual personal and group coaching journey. I have a couple of spaces left for full fees and reduced fees also, please join us. You can join from anywhere in the world! More information here.
If you’d like me to host or design an event around purpose, values, culture, conscious leadership or women in leadership for your organisation please also get in touch!
If you are going through change, transition or taking on bigger leadership roles in 2023 please do also check out our resources to support you in our library and blogs.
Until next month, be purposeful and be yourself
